23rd Annual Shane Dorian Keiki Classic
This past weekend Shane Dorian held the 23rd Annual Keiki Classic at Banyan’s on the Big Island of Hawaii. What began as just a friendly competition to support the local groms has transformed into a massive festival of stoke, complete with games, goods, & great causes. The contest had over 60 kids in both boys and girls divisions, all of which were judged with live scoring and priority so the kids got to showcase the best of their abilities with no excuses.
This year's winner of the Sayre Sportsmanship Award, 14-year-old Luke Heflin of Kona, earned a custom surfboard a day at Kelly Slater's Surf Ranch as his prize for exemplifying the Aloha spirit that Shane & his community are trying to instill.
Shane's Keiki Classic was another huge success this year, and continues to be the event that all the kids look forward to the most. See you all next year!
