Olympic Hopefuls: World Cup, New Zealand
The 2013-14 winter season is upon us, and with Slopestyle now being a recognized discipline at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, members of the Billabong Snow Team couldn't be more excited. The pressure is on and the season has begun as Jamie Anderson (USA), Rebecca "Possum" Torr (NZ), Alex Duckworth (CAN) and Jenna Blasman (CAN) flew down to New Zealand to start working towards securing Olympic spots for the countries they represent. During the first Olympic qualifier of the year, the Winter Games NZ the girls came out with strong results with Jamie taking the win, and Jenna closely behind in 5th place.
While in New Zealand, the girls took advantage of the action sports capital of the southern hemisphere and enjoyed the scenic beauty that the country has to offer.
Follow the team on their adventures as they travel on the road to Sochi, 2014.
Lovely day for skydiving!
Less than ideal weather for a Slopestyle contest...
A little foggy but they still had fun...
