Take a Walk on the Hawaiian Side
While the early North Shore season is finished, the swells have not stopped and the late North Shore season has been in full force. Here's a batch of photos from our younger surfers, tearing apart the Seven Mile Miracle with skill and respect.
All photos by Alan Burke.
Josh gets a little moody with the soft inside section.
This is a pretty common scene on the North Shore.
Alejandro doesn't like to be cut-off, instead of yelling at the groms to back off, he just floats over them.
Josh really knows how to surf V-Land well, especially without his fins in the water.
Surfed-out groms is not a phrase our team knows.
Mr. Moniz gets ready to obliterate a very unsuspecting section at Sunset during the North Shore Surf Shop Jr Pro at Sunset.
Mr. Burkey digs in his rail with every ounce of strength his muscles have to offer.
The boys were frothing over the big version of Sunset.
Leave it to Griffin to find an inside nugget and get some shade.
Burke knows how to bottom turn like very few his age, especially at Sunset.
Reioni is always there teaching the boys more than just water lessons, but life lessons as well.
Poor V-Land, it never knew how much power Burke has.
Griffin doesn't care about big inside sections, in fact he wants to abolish them with his own fins.
Burkey, at V-Land, just showing off.
